There are SO many ways to practice this new way of being. I want to decide on one or two options that I will try right now and in the immediate future.
Which options resonate for me as easy and fun to do:
Journaling daily, weekly
Create one or two affirmations that will be right in front of me as reminders of this awareness. Use post it notes, create pictures, memes, t-shirts, social media posts. Anything that will help me by giving me visuals to help me stay in my flow!
Meditation – Walking, guided, sitting quietly, exercising – there are many versions. Find the one that helps me reach my centered state and helps me come home.
Wear a piece of jewelry on my wrist. Every time I notice I’m thinking about my self awareness, I switch to the other wrist. (Physical movement helps anchor habit changes faster)
Add mental wellness check ins on my calendar
Take a day or more to be in a place I enjoy – with no agenda
Create positive questions for myself: i.e. How am I doing with my feelings? How often am I observing myself vs. judging myself?Place them where I will see them often. i.e. a bathroom mirror, or in my car
Take weekly time for myself to work on myself – even if it’s 30 minutes.
This list is pretty good, what other ideas can also work for me?
